The Sydney Port Authority is preparing to launch a marketing and promotional campaign for the development of a container terminal in Sydney Harbour. The launch comes after last week’s move by the CBRM to buy the Sydport greenfield site from Laurentian Energy. The Port Authority applauds the CBRM’s move, saying that it seized an opportunity to take advantage of the harbour’s potential. The plan to market the port to the global shipping community will be led by Edward Zimny and Gordon Forsyth, both of whom have extensive experience in the shipping industry. They’ll be giving a presentation on the marketing plan at the Sydney Ports Day today.
